How do I make my denim and peace sign bedding better?
So I'm redoing my room and I wanted to be a little more creative with my bedding. I have a fun style and my room is going to be colorful and I'm hand painting flowers on the walls. to go with the sheets I thought I might mix in a denim bedspread and some denim throws because I'm in love with jean jackets and I was watching the project runway rerun where they had to deconstruct the denim 
- do you have any ideas that could make this better? I was thinking about studding (if that is the right word, I mean metal studding) the denim but I have no clue when it comes to working with denim or sewing.
denim is not that comfortable to be making a whole bedspread out of it. the quality denim that you find for jeans is normally not the same stuff you find at your local fabric store. that denim just looks cheap and cheesy. i would recommend just taking old jeans (or going to a thrift shop and getting some old jeans) and just using the denim as decoration. add some decor to some throw pillow or maybe make a throw out of soft fabric with a denim edge. you can have it look nice and still be comfortable that way.
sewing denim isn't that difficult, just be sure to go slowly cause the fabric is thicker and if you go too fast on your machine, it might break the needle. studding is pretty easy too. you just buy the studs and you fix them on by poking them through the fabric then just bending the points. its real easy and you can just do it with some pliers.
