Kids Clothing Modern
How do a make a light pink room fresh, modern and interesting?
Bought a house that has a little boy's room in light blue, and a little girl's room in light pink. I don't have kids, not going to have any, but if I can get away with not repainting the walls, I'd be happy.
I'm really not a fan of either of these colors, but would like to avoid re-painting and I think that keeping these colors couldn't hurt when it's time to sell again. Families might be interested in that.
I hated the blue until I saw a hotel room decorated with bright orange, white, and light blue- so I think I'm set on that. It'll be a guest room.
Thinking of turning the pink room into a fancy dressing room/ walk in closet. Clothing racks, mirrors, etc. Open to other suggestions as to other fun "bonus room" ideas though.
What can I do to make this pink room fun, funky, and intentional? Not like a converted nursery? Not too girly, something for my husband too.

Painting is probably the least expensive, most easily rendered solution to any decorating problem. Don't be so adverse to the change. By keeping a color you don't care for, you are severely limiting your decorating options. If you are thinking about pink helping with the resale of the home, that is probably not true since potential buyers would rather have a blank canvas ( neutral color ) onto which they can project their own taste and ideas. Carpet color might be a more daunting (and expensive ) challenge but paint is easy. Go with the path of least resistance in this case.
